Who we are

7Code is a tech-solutions company based in Hurghada, Red Sea, Egypt, providing custom software, ready-made systems, technical consulting and branding & marketing. We run the website 7code.net and we are responsible for the personal data collected through it. In this policy, "we", "us" and "our" mean 7Code.

We keep this policy short and specific: it describes what this website actually does. If anything here is unclear, contact us using the details at the end of this page.

What we collect

We only collect what you choose to send us, plus a small amount of technical data that we need to run the site safely.

When you contact us

  • Contact form: your name, email address and message.
  • Quote request: your name, phone or WhatsApp number, email, company, the type of project, timeline, budget range, how you heard about us and the project details you write.
  • Project planner: the answers you choose about your project, and your contact details if you decide to send the plan to us.
  • Call booking: your name, phone number, email, the type and topic of the call, and the date and time you pick.

When we work together

  • Quotes and proposals: when we send you a quote link, we record when it is opened. If you accept it online, we record the name you type, the date and time, and your IP address as proof of acceptance.
  • Reviews: if we send you a review link, we receive your name, role, company, rating, review text, an optional photo and whether you allow us to publish the review.

Other features

  • Job applications: your name, email, phone number, portfolio link, message and the CV file you upload.
  • Newsletter: your email address and preferred language. We use double opt-in: you are only subscribed after you click the confirmation link we email you, and every newsletter includes an unsubscribe link.
  • AI chat assistant (when enabled): the messages you write and the replies you receive. See "AI chat assistant" below.

Technical data

  • When you submit a form, we store your IP address and, for some forms, the page you sent it from and the language you used. This protects the site from spam and abuse.
  • Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested) for security and to keep the site running.
  • Only with your consent, Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel collect data about how the site is used. See "Cookies and analytics" below.

We don't ask for sensitive data, such as health information, religious beliefs or financial account details. Please don't send it to us through the website.

How we use your data

  • To reply to your messages and questions.
  • To prepare quotes and proposals, and to record your acceptance.
  • To schedule and hold the calls you book.
  • To plan, deliver and support the projects we work on together.
  • To review job applications.
  • To send the newsletter you subscribed to.
  • To publish the reviews you allowed us to publish.
  • To keep the website secure and prevent spam and abuse.
  • To understand how the site is used and improve it, only if you accept analytics cookies.
  • To meet our legal and accounting obligations.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it to make automated decisions that have legal or similarly important effects on you.

Why we are allowed to use it

Depending on the situation, we use your data because:

  • you asked us for something (a reply, a quote or a call), or we have a contract with you;
  • you gave your consent, for example to the newsletter, to analytics and advertising cookies or to publishing your review. You can withdraw your consent at any time;
  • we have a legitimate interest in running and protecting our business and website, in a way that respects your rights; or
  • the law requires it.

AI chat assistant

When the chat assistant is enabled on the site, its answers are generated automatically by an AI provider that processes your messages on our behalf. We store conversations so we can review them and improve our service. The assistant can make mistakes: prices, timelines and commitments are only confirmed when our team sends them to you.

Please don't share sensitive information in the chat, such as passwords, card numbers, ID numbers or health information.

Where your data is stored and who we share it with

  • Our website database is hosted on Hostinger servers. Hostinger stores this data on our behalf.
  • Email notifications: when you submit a form, a copy of the details is emailed to our team so we can reply quickly.
  • WhatsApp: if you choose to contact us on WhatsApp, the conversation takes place on WhatsApp, a service of Meta, and Meta's terms and privacy policy apply.
  • AI provider: if you use the chat assistant, your messages are sent to the AI provider that generates the answers.
  • Google and Meta: only if you accept cookies, Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel receive data about your visit.
  • Authorities: when the law requires it, or to protect our rights and the safety of others.

Each service only gets what it needs to do its job. We never sell or rent your data.

Some of these providers may process data on servers outside Egypt. When that happens, we rely on providers that apply recognised safeguards to protect personal data.

How long we keep it

  • Messages, quote requests, project plans and call bookings: as long as needed to handle your request, and for up to two years after our last contact. If you become a client, the next point applies.
  • Client and project records, including accepted quotes: for as long as we work together, and afterwards for as long as we need them for accounting, legal and support purposes.
  • Job applications: for up to one year after the hiring decision, unless you ask us to delete yours sooner.
  • Newsletter: until you unsubscribe. After that we only keep your email address and the date you unsubscribed, so we don't email you again.
  • Reviews: a published review stays on the site until you ask us to remove it.
  • Chat conversations: for as long as they help us improve our answers, and no longer than two years.
  • Security data, such as the IP address saved with a form, is kept together with that form.
  • Analytics data is kept by Google for the period set in our account, up to 14 months.

When we no longer need data, we delete it or make it anonymous.

Cookies and analytics

We use a few essential cookies to make the site work: your language, your cookie choice and a secure session for forms. Google Analytics 4 runs in Consent Mode, so before you accept it does not store analytics cookies on your device. The Meta Pixel is only loaded after you accept. You can change your choice at any time. All the details are in our cookie policy.

Your rights

You can ask us at any time to:

  • access the personal data we hold about you;
  • correct data that is wrong or incomplete;
  • delete your data when we are not required to keep it;
  • withdraw your consent, for example by unsubscribing from the newsletter, changing your cookie choice or asking us to remove your review. This does not affect anything we did before you withdrew it;
  • object to us using your data for a particular purpose.

We handle personal data in line with Egypt's Personal Data Protection Law (Law No. 151 of 2020). If you are in the European Union, the GDPR gives you similar rights, plus the right to data portability, the right to restrict processing and the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

To use any of these rights, contact us using the details below. We may ask you to confirm your identity first, and we aim to reply within one month.

How we protect your data

The site uses an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Access to our admin area is limited to authorised team members with personal, password-protected accounts. Our forms are protected against spam and forged submissions, and we only collect what we need. No system is completely secure, but we work hard to keep your data safe and we will act quickly if something goes wrong.

Self-hosted (download) products

If you buy a self-hosted lifetime licence and install one of our products on your own server, that product contacts our licence server from time to time to check your licence and to tell us it is intact. In those calls it sends us only: the domain it runs on, which product and which build it is, the result of its own file-integrity self-check (a simple "unchanged / changed / files missing"), and the per-copy watermark that is unique to your download. It never sends us your business data (your bookings, orders, customers or content). We use this only to run the licence, to support you, and to spot copies of a licensed download being shared. You can read what the licence check does in the licence & subscription agreement.

Children

This website is meant for businesses and adults. We don't knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has sent us their data, contact us and we will delete it.

Links to other websites

Our site links to other services, such as WhatsApp, Instagram and the websites we built for our clients. When you visit them, their own privacy policies apply.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the website or the law changes. The date at the top of this page shows the latest version. If we make important changes, we will make them clear on the site.
